 The Marion County Special Needs Program is for residents who, during periods of evacuation or emergency, require sheltering assistance due to physical impairment, mental impairment, cognitive impairment, or sensory disabilities. 


 The Special Needs Registry is a confidential listing of those needing assistance and is updated on an annual basis through contact with the registered residents.

What is WeatherSTEM?

The WeatherSTEM program in Marion County is an integration of weather sensors, the data gathered and stored by he sensors, and a dynamic display of the data in a website that showcases the current weather, weather forecasts, data mining tools, lessons & activities, weather notifications, and more!
